Collection
A small volume of your own adipose (fat) tissue is collected from the abdomen under local anesthetic, in a brief outpatient procedure designed to minimize physical burden. Before this happens, you undergo an infectious-disease blood screening, and your physician reviews your history for conditions that would make collection inappropriate.
Culture and purification
Your cells are then cultured and purified at a cell-processing facility under clean-room conditions, typically over several weeks. This is why autologous stem cell therapy is usually planned across two visits to Tokyo rather than a single trip — most patients return home during this window, since nothing further is required from you personally until the second visit. Quality checks before release
Only cells confirmed sterile and genetically stable are released for use. This checking step exists specifically so that cells that don't meet those criteria are not used, rather than being a formality applied after the fact.
Administration and follow-up
Purified cells are reintroduced to your body by intravenous infusion, followed by scheduled reviews to monitor your condition and response. Follow-up continues remotely with your physician after you return home, for as long as your treatment plan requires — this doesn't replace local emergency care, so urgent symptoms should go to a local provider first, with your StemCellor physician informed afterward.
What "clean-room" and "certified" claims should and shouldn't mean
